Pedasi Beach Guide
Pedasi is well know for having some of the best beaches on the Pacific coast of Panama if not in the entire country. Panamanians and people from all over the world to visit the beaches to fish, surf, wind surf, body board or just go for a swim. The best part about these beautiful sandy beaches is there is almost no one on them ever!
Playa Arenal, Pedasi
One of the only beaches that is regularly busy in Pedasi. If you’re looking for a fishing trip or adventure to Isla Iguana, this is the beach you need to visit.
There’s also two great beach bars with some pretty good local food if you just want to sit and chill out for a few hours.
Sunday is probably the busiest day at this beach. You see the local fishermen having the day off and having a few drink and lots of families enjoying the water.
Playa Arenal is only a 2-3 minute drive from town, or you can walk there in about 20 mins.
Playa Lagarita, Pedasi
Playa Lagarita, or as some call it Lagart Point, has some pretty steady breaks for body boarders and you will see many locals out there having fun on many days of the year. However the majority of the locals know where rocks are, so be careful and ask if you dont know
PlayaLagarita is also well known for turtle sightings so keep your eyes open.
You can get to this beach from in 3-4 minutes by car
Playa Toro / Bull Beach, Pedasi
Maybe the second busiest beach in Pedasi, but mostly on weekends. A great beach to walk or swim at.
When the tide goes out, the rocks dotting the shoreline have small pools, so you can easily bring your little ones to enjoy as well.
On the hill overlooking the ocean is the Bull Beach Bar, where you can grab a bite to eat and enjoy the view. Distance from town by car is 2-3 minutes.
Playa Destiladeros, Pedasi
If you're looking for a quiet and secluded beach to relax at, Playa Destiladeros is the perfect spot. It is located 10km south of Pedasí. Takes about 15 to 20min by car from downtown Pedasi. This beach is surrounded by nature and offers stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. Keep in mind that there are no restaurants or washrooms nearby, so you'll need to come prepared with your own food and drinks
